A bit dark in my monitor, but nice series anyway!

I like number 2 VERY much. Try this... put it in photoshop or equivalent, open levels sliders and move left and right levels to match where the histogram starts/ends . This will brighten this photograph significantly... there are also all kinds of things you could do to bring the drama out in that sky.

Yes, #2 is quite dramatic. The histogram definitely support Woof's assertion. Lots of possibilities here.
