Changi Museum Chapel
Posted By: creampuff, 02-03-2009, 05:10 PM

*ist DL2 DA 18-55mm II

This is a small museum in Singapore that recreates the chapel that the Allied POWs had during their internment by the Japanese forces at Changi during the Second World War. Shot in IR and processed in CS4 (a quick 2 minute job)

creampuff.. This is one awesome photo. The lighting is what makes the shot! Well done. Was there much PP work involved?> JIM

Thanks. Not much was done. As usual I like to frame my images in the viewfinder so there was no cropping involved. Opened file in Camera RAW. The usual IR channel swap after setting the white point and curve tweak. Had a background texture overlay and added a frame. Really quite simple and I didn't spend much time to do it.

Taken with an IR modified camera.
Hence the ability to shoot hand held as the exposure times are greatly reduced and better image quality.

This is a great interpretation by using sophisticated colour channel setting. Great image!

Nice shot.

Off-topic, but the excellent movie "King Rat" (based on James Clavell's book) takes place at a fictionalized Changi POW camp.

Beautiful! There is Zen in this image, even if the subject seems like a Christian chapel!

It s all in the eye of the beholder. Fantastic image. The blue white and gray is so evocative.

Amazing shot. The treatment is superb and the centered composition just works a treat. Well done indeed (as ro would say )
