Only for girls ...
Posted By: roentarre, 02-04-2009, 11:13 PM

The scorching weather seems to subside a little. I took this opportunity to further experiment with Leica 50mm f2 R Summicron with a few casual protrait.

This lens really gives me a lot of room. It is a Cam I lens and 30 year old optical construction does not fail me at all. Even with such a harsh lighting environment, the lens renders more shadow details than most of pentax limited could offer me...

Here are a few shots from the St Kilda Beach, Melbourne, Australia.

All take at f2 but the EXIF always shows f2.4 All the metering data embedded in the images are not accurate.

Hey James, whos a lucky boy then, mmm

The images are super and the processing youve done has brought out extra life to the images!
Indeed the first image has almost a hdr effect to it, especially in the texture of the jeans.

Good stuff.
Cheers Neil

I was trying to trick you but the forum zinged me

I like the pose of the second better than the first but I'm not convinced about the treatment. makes him look dirty.

But then... a dirty boy...

OK I'll just shut up now

Nice studies! What's with the paleness of the face in the second photo? Is that PP or just the light?

Nice photos, (I speak photo quality wise). My wife takes a cursory glance shrugs and walks, I have to think that one out?
In the first shot, maybe you could PP the light post out near his shoulder. It is a little distracting, IMHO.
Otherwise, very well done!
