Before the Autoshow: Ferrari Vignale, Mustang Boss 302
Posted By: mike.hiran, 02-04-2009, 11:41 PM

Had a bit of time and wanted to test out the k20 so went down to our convention center and found they were in the midst of setting up the autoshow. Thought I'd look around and there was a room with just a few classic cars in it and no people, so decided to go in and take some pics. Never had quality time with a Ferrari before... of course true quality time would be driving one, but this is as close as I can expect right now!

most of these pics were at ISO 1250 by the way...

Yeah, I couldn't believe my luck! I'm sure those cars don't come cheap either so I was amazed I was left alone.

Yup, a beautiful specimen! Here's a couple more to salivate over.. If you like that, perhaps you may like the Cuda too. I'll PP those in the next couple days and I'll post them here...

A very nice series of images. Of course quality time with a Ferrari would be behind the steering wheel listening to that V12 howling!

Great shots! I don't believe my car has ever been this clean, not even when it was brand new ! Very attractive!

Those are a bunch of really ugly cars; but I love the shots; they're excellent. And ISO 1250 seems to be very pleasant.

Aw man, these are great. The '71 Boss brings tears to my eyes; I had a '69 Mach I (bought new) but I wanted the Boss so badly.

I don't think I've ever heard a v12 live, but I'd love to!

Yup, clean cars are much nicer to photograph.

I think a friend of mine in high school had a mach 1 too.... in a bright blue if I remember correctly. Beautiful car, though at the time, I didn't really care about classic cars that much. But now, I'm starting to get an appreciation for older cars. And that Boss was so pristine... looked showroom-new.

Thanks all for your comments!

I'd never tried to take pictures of older cars before, so glad you liked them despite your preferring other cars. And yes, I'm ecstatic about higher ISOs w/ the k20... much easier to deal w/ noise vs the k10.

Perhaps you like newer exotics more?
