Beautifull, the colour in the second one is great. I think they are called Begonia, isn't it?

I know someone here in Wageningen University working on this genus (I think it has several hundreds of species....) and I have seen quite a lot pictures of them. There is much variety, and I have never seen similar ones like your friends, but the genus as such is quite recognisable. And...it's my job to recognise plants, so I'd not easy forgive myself not knowing it....
