Posted By: Nitrok, 02-09-2009, 09:12 AM

I was shooting in the forest when it snowed today trying to catch the feel of the moment. Here's the result.

Nicely done! I spent a good deal of Saturday trying for that kind of shot in the woods here and never managed it.

Very nice. This rarely works out for me. Great job.

Wow, you manage to capture these little snow in the air! That is hard to do and you did it well!

Apart from catching the snow flakes, which is great as such, I like very much the feeling of depth in this scene!

Thanks Scott! It was snowing so much even in the forest so i could take this photo where the snowflakes are really visible.

Thanks Georg. I took this photo with 105mm@f/2.8 so the dof is narrow.

Thanks Dave! Yes the bw version is a lot more dramatic and you can see the snowflakes way better in it. I guess it's matter of taste.

I did not need to blow this one up. Saw your BW version, and I don't like it as much as this one. This creates a mood and captures the atmosphere and creates an almost 3D effect, all unified with the verticals and snow. Just wonderful!
