Hoya with Helios 44M (crossposting POTW...)
Posted By: Rense, 02-09-2009, 11:45 AM

Hi all,

Might post these here as well, although I posted them also in the POTW #48. But I am curious what you think of these flowershots, made with the M42 Helios-44M-4 @f/2 (= wide open).

Rense! You have that Helios too! Is it the same that Gus just bought (if I remember right)? Nice shots!

Yep, but it's an other version. He has the 44M as far as I remember and mine is the 44M-4. I like this lens very much, the colour, the sharpness, the ease to use it. And the price!! It came on an old '89 Zenit body and I payed €7,95 for it!! That is just a little more then US$ 10! Postage costed me more, €10.... There are lots of them at eBay and the last week I have seen a mint one there....

Don't want to promote LBA, of course, and no relational problems etc., but the costs are allmost nothing....

Hi Taff,
Thanks for your opinion. I agree completely! These shots were more or less a try to understand the lens and its capabilities..... Those are OK, I guess, but I will work on mine:ugh:

Thanks again,
Rense
