Spring Fever
Posted By: gMatt, 02-09-2009, 08:40 PM

This is my first post to the gallery... feel free to share a few Spring Fever photos with me.

We haven't had much snow here this year, and the kids are bummed. It's been unseasonably warm all week, and now I'm starting to get spring fever!

These were all taken in April of last year. I'd be happy to hear any feedback or critique you might have. Thanks for looking!

Nice but.....

I like the sunset although the hedge seems too uneven (busy?) and a wee bit too large (high) as well.....just my 2 cents.
The first one is the best and can go on the wall....

I really like the second image, it reminds me of a famous Eliot Porter photograph. And the third gives a nice sense of graceful movement and shape. Not much you can do about the sunrise, although you may want to try taking different exposures next time and then try blending them later, as one of the simpler solutions. Sure things can be improved, but it's a great start.

Edit- images removed

Very nice springtime images. (you're not helping here ) I think they need some weed control in there, and quickly! And on the second shot, she looks like she's trying to figure out who is behind the camera.

Thanks for the feedback. On the sunset shot I did two handheld exposures, but only one turned out well. I don't think the gradients look smooth approaching the sun, but I couldn't get the curves to make it look any nicer. But I liked everything else about it, and I was curious to hear what others thought.

Best,

Matt
