Q-Deck
Posted By: Ash, 02-13-2009, 06:31 PM

A couple more from my Gold Coast escapades:
First is the Q-one, distorted by 10-17 just to be able to fit this monstrous building (biggest residential structure in the world) into the frame.

Second is the view from Q-Deck, the 77th floor of Q-one, a stunning 360 degree view over Gold Coast's beaches.

Enjoy.

Well it'd been over a month since I went to the coast, but this has been my first real opportunity to get my collection of photos online.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Ash, what were the ISO, FL, aperture & shutter speed settings for the 2nd shot? Hand-held or Tripod? I like the look of the waves on the shore.

That second photo is stunning, can't wait to vote for it in PPG! Did you took it from a building or maybe even a helicopter?

Thanks all for the comments.

Settings for #2 were: 10-17 at 13mm ISO 200 f/8 for 20 secs (on tripod of course).
Will be putting it on Pentax Gallery for approval today... (thanks for the encouragement).

Being so far above ground, it's breathtaking.
Well worth the visit if anyone's staying at the Gold Coast...
