Finally got my M42 adapter in the mail, and since I've got a horrible flu and little else to do I spent the early afternoon messing around with the Helios on my K20D.

What a sharp little lens!

Almost all at f/4.0 and either ISO 100 or 400:

...and a few B&W conversions for fun:

I dont have to tell you how I feel about this lens...

I am naming my first born son Helios!

Love the shots... especially the B&W conversions. really nice job on the conv...

This was my fave of the color ones

Yes, yes, the story is getting boring. Please, don't buy this lens, it's worth nothing!

Great shots, all of them!

Thanks, guys. It's a really fun lens to play around with.

When I got back from shooting, I was going to take it and the adapter off and put the FA 50 f/1.4 back on... but somehow I didn't end up doing it.

That also was my favorite - a lot of pop, 3D-ness to that image.

OK. Sigh. (opening the ebay tab)

That is the exact one I have...

But I thought that was the first version of the lens not the later version..

All in the lungs, now, unfortunately. My chest and back are getting pretty tired from all the hacking. Now on day 7 of this thing.

btw Gus, I forgot to mention that it was your Helios thread that fired up my LBA to buy this thing. So a special thanks to you!

Sorry to hear that deadwolfbones! Hope you'll be well soon. But we got the same Helios-virus from the same man....no cure for that, I suppose.....

Hehe. Got mine for €7.95, some cents more than US$10,00. But I understood I paid way too much
It is said on this forum several times before: you should get the genuine PENTAX adapter, not the Chinese with a flange! It's really worth the cost.
