I really like the composition of the first one, maybe try a lower angle that the one you used.

Though I think there is too much highlights on both pictures... but that might be just me.

The picture on the right is great. it would look cool as a Sepia toned image as well I bet. I agree the left one is a touch bright.

Yeh the lefty is a bit bright but i was after that effect to suit the subject. Kinda the hard edged tool steel.
Thanks for your comments though!

The image with clippers and files is a good one in my opinion. Texture and depth.

I like the first one ,perhaps with a little extra contrast punched into it during post to deepen the blacks, and I think it would make for some interesting "garage art".

I like the 2nd shot from a technical standpoint, it merely seems to be missing something - the tools are there, the debris is there, but the "thing" is missing. It feels like there should be an object in the OOF background to complete the story.

Thanks Guys,
I'm glad u noticed the debri Jim. I was worried it wasnt noticable enough. As for the missing thing I guess thats because thats how my shed ends up. Once the job is done and the "thing' is gone the tools never seem to get cleaned up.

Fritz.

Also like the right one.
Left one's a little blown out - more low key would have worked for me though.
