Some times it's good to be late to work
Posted By: skinja, 02-14-2009, 07:55 PM

Friday I woke up at my normal time to get up , I decided I deserve another hour of sleep so I curled up next to my honey and nodded off. Ok so my time was up and I had to get up and go. I live about 15 minutes from work. so off to work, driving down the road the color was amazing. I went to the first good clearing I could find and this is what was in front of me.

An hour earlier and I would have missed it all together. Ten minutes later and I wouldn't have stopped. Ten minutes earlier and I would have turned around and gone home to get the rest of my kit.

This was shot with the K10 and 18-250.

Gorgeous, and well shot! I keep my 18-250 on my camera most of the time as my general preparedness lens.

Beautiful sunset shots! Too bad you didn't have some fill-flash handy for the mountains.

If that was my drive to work... I would never make it to work!
Number three does it for me. Number one is nice too.

Looks like Barker in the Morning to me. Nice shots. I think I remember that morning. Last Monday? I was headed to the airport and though I spotted that sun rise or was if a week earlier. Damn old age! JIM

Thanks and I almost took my k20, 31, 28-75 and 70-200 with me to work that day.

I appreciate the comments and support from you all.

Thanks,

Thanks Jim, This was Friday the 13th about 7:15 am. So many sunrises are absolutely stunning around here, but unfortunately I am usually at work or to lazy to get out of bed. This was a case of the right place at the right time.

John, wonderful colors. A sunrise like this on the way to work... must be tough to drive on in. Or very inspiring I guess. I am sure I would be a bit late everyday that I saw that view.

What mountain?
