Nice series Alan. That's what I love about this sight. We are able to see pictures from around the world without leaving home! JIM

Thes pics made me homesick. I lived in Heidelberg for 8 years (1976-1979 & 1983-1988), and for 4 years of the last tour, my office was located on the Hauptstrasse. A painting of #5, the Alt Brucke (Old Bridge) hangs in my living room. Enjoy your trip, and enjoy the beer.

Thanks! I love using the fisheye for church interiors. It does add an interesting effect.

Thanks! My trip last year yielded my first PPG image.....it happened to be a photo of the Old Bridge taken from the castle.

As for the beer, I've downed quite a few of these since I've been here:

Köstritzer Schwarzbier

It's one of my favorite German beers.

I really like the cathedral shots. Some dark days, it appears. I am surprised they allow photographs in the airport.

A few more pics....these were taken earlier in the week in Dusseldorf. We made a detour there on our way from Heidelberg to visit my wife's mom, who lives in Nienburg.

And the main reason we stopped in Dusseldorf in the first place.....the best restaurant on the planet!
