In The Land Of Rock & Ice
Posted By: Nitrok, 02-17-2009, 01:48 PM

Visited the local old quarry today to see how these rock walls look like in the winter.
I really recommend viewing these bigger!

My wife is out of town until Thursday. Can someone come watch my two children so I can visit my local old quarry while the sun is still out?

Very noice images indeed.

They are very good, but parts of ice-snow in the BW versions look washed out to me. Less so when viewed larger. I love the colour image.

The first shot is my favorite. Cool classic presentation with emphasis on the texture.

Very nice photos Joni, of the B/W I would choose the first one but the color one is gorgeous. What lens did you use on that one?

Nice shots. The B&W conversions are good but I really like the dramatic effect and colours in No.3

Thank you JMR! Dunno but maybe the image size has something to do with those washed out areas?

Thank you James! That's my own fave too. I really like those textures on the rockwall.

Very nice shots - particularly the color one. Makes me shiver (it's currently 73F here) just looking at them.
