YES! Got one in!
Posted By: Rense, 02-20-2009, 11:59 AM

After some weeks of waiting, and after several declines, I got one of my photos in the PPG ! It's an older one, shot with the P30 and the worst lens I've got, the Takumar-A 28-80mm.

Rense, this is a beautiful image and well deserved to be accepted. I just love that low lying fog stream, and the reflection of the house and the trees truly make this one a top notch photo. Great work and congratulations.

Thanks grzehoofr, it's Western Norway, more or less halfway up.

Gus, thanks! We had a very cold camping there. My wife read "The Lord of the Rings" there, and she said the surroundings added much to the atmosphere of the book

Thanks maritimer! I don't know whether it is deserved or not, but I am happy with it

Now, Now, let's not malign lenses. After all, its a beautiful image. Love the horizontally pointed hills and its reproduction in the lighter area. You will note the mist transcends both dark and light areas and helps to unify the image. The area outside the black hill is itself a shape that beautifully sends the viewer in or out of the image, as the case may be. Wonderful.
