Close-up cacaphony *warning creepy stuff at the end
Posted By: Igilligan, 02-21-2009, 11:07 AM

I know you all are sick of the Helios 44M shots, but I just can't seem to leave it off my camera for long,
so I took that lens and stuck it in front of a vivi macro converter...

Great series. #'s 1 and 6 are excellent. And the earwig...that's one insect I haven't seen in macro before.

They're great Gus. Don't worry, I know you'll put that lens down when you buy the next one.

That are some truly amazing macros gus, 2 questions: what PP did you do on the little jumpers eyes and what critter are the eye macros of?

Nice stuff! This reminds me I miss the creepy crawlies in the garden. Give me a couple more weeks and I'll be right back at you with jaws and legs in abundance.

When you commented earlier that you were 'crawling in your muddy backyard taking pictures of worms' I thought you were joking

The cats eyes are amazing but I like the purple buds personally .

Absolutely stunning series, Igilligan! Right from the first one my jaw was pretty much wide open for this entire set of shots. I think my eyes are somewhere under my table Just incredible...

Gus mate, that lens looks really sharp and the focus is spot on.
Unfortunately the second cat eye made me gag, due to the yukky stuff in the corner off the eye. blllllaaaahhhh
