Flower question - Gary or other flower experts

This is growing in our yard... I do not every remember seeing it actually bloom...

Anyone know what it is? Has some lovely muted purple color to it...

My wifff says it's a Hellebore, Gus. She's pretty smart about that stuff.

I sure am ready for Spring to find its way to OK

All of my family in Oklahoma I am sure would second your desire to see some spring soon, although my guess is you all could still use some more rain just like us out here in Cali...

Gus, Jim, it is a Heleborus, and probably one of the many garden hybrids. It's planted in gardens very often, as it is one of the first winter flowers anouncing SPRING!
