The many faces of Charles
Posted By: creampuff, 02-22-2009, 09:22 PM

Transferred hard drives, so I had to go through an archive of my holiday shots in the UK awhile back. Photos taken at Dartmooor. Canon EOS 1D Mark II N EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM + Extender EF 1.4x II.

Excellent portraits! It was succeeded to pass character of this man. Me it seems to he tensely what that thinks about, even when smiles. He "on the alert. "( Do not I know English, say to me please what it Dartmooor?)

Dartmoor is a national park in the south west part of the UK. Took the images of Prince Charles at a small town where I was having lunch. He happened to pass through for an official visit and I happened to be there and managed to grab these shots.

Thanks for bringing me up to date on him. I forgot that he's still around. It's all Obama these days really nice expressions you captured there =) How does one go about capturing photos of celebrities? Do you just have to know the right people?

Shot from across the street. My wife actually got to shake his hand, which was a plus.
All the shots are straight from the camera and uncropped.

Looks to me like that's the winning post of the 500,000th post SD card giveaway! But don't shoot me if I'm reading it wrong and you didn't win.

Great photos!

I hadn't seen him in the news in a long time, he looks like he has aged a lot in the last few years

Wonderfully rich captures - very impressive and the quality is superb. Too bad not taken with a Pentax - quality would've gone up 10x...

(kidding, as so many have noted in other threads around PF, it all starts with the photographer and you indeed are talented!)
