Grandson with DFA 100
Posted By: Mallee Boy, 04-01-2007, 02:49 PM

Hi All,
May I introduce our grandson, Oscar, pictured here with his father in the first shot and going solo in the second shot.
The DFA 100mm f2.8 is awesome, however I am learning very quickly to pay attention to dof.
Cheers
Grant

Great photos, really like the second one.

I like those fast primes myself also. Like you said you have to watch the DOF. I have had shallow DOF and focused a little off and had to live with the main focus point a little out of focus.

Aww, he looks like a sweet little boy. I'm sure I don't need to tell you: Take all the pictures you can, while you can!

Cute kid with the proud father! You're going to enjoy showing these to your grandson when he grows up!

Nice photos! I'm also finding more use for DFA 100 aside from the macro, very comfortable range for portraits in general, puts a subject at little more "ease" with the distance.

Regards,
D

Hi Grant. That kid has the most infectious smile I've ever seen! Put a huge smile on my face as soon as I saw the shot. In the second one he seems to be discoursing on one of the finer points of philosphy. But that first one is the shot I keep coming back too

NaCl(would you look at the smile on that kid!)H2O

Yeah, he sure is one happy little chappy. He is back in Hong Kong now, expect it to be awhile before we see him again.
Thanks for looking and your remarks.
Cheers
Grant
