Door handle by Nikkor 55mm f1.2
Posted By: roentarre, 02-25-2009, 12:36 AM

This lens has been in my possession for quite some time. I did not really like it comparing to A 50mm f1.2

However, the construction of this lens is superb. It feels like a knot in the toilet drain with a large wheel on it. It feels solid

Here is a dull shot revealing its fake smeared colour and flat look

Wide open of course f1.2

Haha, nicely expressed, so you also used a Nikon camera, or?

Hehe, George. This is the old Nikkor lens used on k20d. No adaptors needed. Just whack the lens on.

Now, now boys, I love my Nikon. Now I only shoot slides with it. BTW, an excellent image of colour and abstraction. Are you saying Nikon lenses will fit on newer Pentax cameras? Or this some old lens with a Pentax mount?

I think any Nikkor lens with AIS mount will be able to hook on pentax dSLR fine.

My friend Voe is using his 180mm f2.8 on k10d with fabulous colour and sharpness in its image rendering. Spetacular lens in fact.

When the lens is hooked on the k10d/k20d, you would not get the reassuring click upon mounting. Instead, the lens is sort of hitting a bottleneck preventing further rotation on the mount. It has been fun buying cheap unwanted nikon lenses to mount on the pentax camera

Nikon 50mm f1.2 is quoted to have the same optical performance as nikkor 55mm f1.2

However, the manual focus feel is apparently better with nikkor 55mm f1.2 and bokeh is more swirly in measurebation.

Thanks, gus for visiting

Pentax camera can really take a lot of lens mount and this is very exciting for me.

Nikon lenses tend to give strong colour regardless what lens I tried on k20d. However, the images just seems flat and too plasticky.

I am waiting for another 2 nikkor lenses to arrive so I can play around with them.

James,

I have a Nikkor 135 f2.8 that I inherited from my sister-in-law and it won't even begin to mount to my Pentax digital cameras. It was bought for a Nikkormat EM that it works fine on.

Plenty of fun. Just most images are not good enough to show

That is a good lens too. I have seen melbourne pentax users using this particular lens. It makes me drool with the colour coming out of the lens. Just a little too plasticky

It is plain old and boring. But it does show the weakness of Nikkor lens
