It is, in fact, extremely wintery! The wind chill has been in the -20C to -35C range for the last few days. The boats have thick steel hulls and can withstand the forces of the ice.

Thanks for the kind words. I've had more than enough snow pictures but either I put the camera away or take snow pics. This winter has been especially harsh.

Thanks Jim. I really wanted to get closer to the red tug but I have a phobia against walking on ice, regardless of the thickness. The Warren L II was a lot closer to the shore and I only had to walk out about 100' to get this shot. I was cursing myself for not bringing the DA 55 - 300mm. I could have taken the picture from shore!
