. . . . . . . unfortunately without Coltrane. Here are some close up shots of a figurine of - presumably - a Monk, illuminated with evening sunlight. I was playing with my new DA 35 Limited and shot these hand held (rather than with a tripod as I should have done); the Monk also is dusty, but I wanted to see how the lens handled the fuzz. I PP'd the pictures in both color and B&W. I rather prefer the color ones, but I'd be interested in what you think.

I prefer the color verses BW, it seems to bring out more of the detail in the figurine, thanks for sharing.

I usually go for the B&W, but I have to vote for the color ones on these as well. I like the composition on #1 the best.

Jer, I like the coloured version better as they are having more impact overall. The details of the face are more appealing with colours
