Ice Scuptures
Posted By: Scottnorwo, 03-01-2009, 06:21 PM

Here are some shots at a local creek. Cold temps and receding waters left behind some interesting shapes. First photo had a purple hue (I think due to cold) so I made it BW.

love the silky water vs. the ice in the first one, and the B&W treatment works very well.

Wow, all are good. The first shot is my favorite. The glint from the image is really stellar!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Was very disappointed when number 1 was filled with that purple haze, but thankfully able to rescue it with BW conversion

thanks again

Interesting and cold (!) image on this March morning. You brave soul. The BW certainly has an unreal quality to it, which I have noticed in shots where the light turns almost white. I like the second image best.
