What, a black and white sunset photo!
Posted By: gawan, 03-02-2009, 03:01 PM

Well the title says it, this is not to taken too seriously. I was just playing with PS trying to "fix" the colours of one sunset image, but somehow ended to a toned B&W image, which I actually liked. Would be nice to know what you think (although I will away until Wednesday, so wont be answering right away)

I think it is great. Even have gone back to a few of mine and converted them over the last few months as I think of it. I really like the textures and drawing in quality.

George, this is a great interpretation of B+W

Great light control in the lake surface. Beautiful hue there.

That's a really nice shot. Love the toned PP. Now I'm going to have to take some of mine and see what I can do with them.

Very impressive. Black and white sunsets seldom work, but this one is great!

Well done. This one totally supports the conversion. Very nice. I like it a lot.

Thank James, appreciate it! Somehow the colour version just did not work in this photo.

Thanks Susan, Without the toning this would not be very impressive, I felt it the moment I decided to try toning...

Thanks, I appreciate it! I would never thought of trying B& with sunsets, this one just did not work in colour so well, so I did what I sometimes do the freshen up my mind, try something opposite or strange... glad it worked!
