I like it, but maybe a little too dark.

I think this is one of those shots where your try to bring out the darkness of the horse and retain the light and texture. In this case, I think it works quite well.

I like it, but i think it is abit over-sharpened for me. I like the mood tho

I like the composition, but there is something that is off, but I just can't place it. I am not sure if it is the horse more than anything else. Sharpening? Maybe. I just don't know.

OK maybe you want a horse used by the elves... aka the forces of good



Post processed in Adobe Camera Raw 5.2 and Photoshop CS4.

I prefer the black fur coating of the horse in the first image. That one has best texture

If you were going for the effect presented in the Ralph Bakshi version of LOTR then I think you hit it pretty good. I think it's interesting anyway and such a contrast to the 2nd one you posted.

Denis I was thinking exactly that ! Where is the Black Rider ? I remember in the first LOTR the first time we see the Black Rider that was one of the best displays of Evil I have ever seen.
