Spring blooms - Tamron SP 28-75 f/2.8
Posted By: Duh_Vinci, 04-03-2007, 05:52 PM

I need to stop working so much and get out more often! On the other hand, work pays for the photo toys

Since 16-50 is not going to be out for few months, ordered Tamron SP 28-75mm f/2.8... Have not done any extensive tests, but did manage to take it for a short walk. Here are few jpegs at f2.8:

The true test will be in the low light, I hope it can do well too...

Regards,
D

Wow I love them all. Beautiful craft with DOF. The narrower the better. The changing patterns of colour is just so artistic

All are good shots but I like #2 & #3. That red tulip rocks!!!

I almost got this lens but went with the Sigma 28-7f f/2.8 EX as I found it in stock.

Great shots with a very nice lens! I posted a few wildflower shots taken with the same Tamron earlier today. I'm finding that it's tough to take that lens off the camera...

Thank you all for the comments!

I'm beginning to like this lens as a walk around, AF is fairly quick (being a tight ratio), nice colors, good sharpness.

Bud - I just removed and reinstalled the lens on the K10D few times - no problems at all...

Regards,
D

Sorry... that was a weak attempt at "tongue-in-cheek" humor... I have no mechanical or optical issues with the lens at all, it just seems to be my lens of choice here lately, for just about everything.
I love it!

I wish you hadn't posted these. Now I've got another lens I'd like to add. Nice shots, I especially like the forsythia and the cherry blossoms.

I just got one of these myself. I'm finding it to be a very capable lens. Very sharp, even at f2.8, with very nice image rendering "look".

Lovely shots.

Thanks to all for the comments, much appreciated!

Sorry Bud, I'm a little slow after work!

NaCl - LBA? And I know you enjoying your Macro Tamron

Alan - I'm with you, there is really nothing not to like about the lens, specially at that price and constant 2.8.

Regards,
D
