Very nice Taff,

Not a scene you often see, nicely captured.

Stunning and unique moonlight scene Taff.
I'm amazed that all the detail of the moon came up so well with that sunset - must have been near dark...

Err sorry if i'm out of line here - but this looks a smidge fake to me.... the moon is lit from the opposite side to the setting sun...

Cool pic Taff! I like it.

'Fake' is such a strong word. It is a creative composition, that's all.
EXIF shows you used a 40mm lens.
Unless Australia is a helluva lot closer to the moon than Canada you'll never get a pic of the moon that big with a 40mm.

Not at all, post away

the moon in this shot isnt actually a moon at all, it is a brush in photoshop. I colour picked from the surrounding sky, made a layer with the moon and lowered the opacity then made a new layer of the sunset over the moon to have the clouds covering the moon again lowering opacity.
The sunset is how it was shot this week though

It's bit unusual for a moon shot, but it's 1 frame
It was taken during an eclipse, hence the colour.

Cool red moon.

(BTW - I dig it when people use the word 'hence' in a sentence.
There's something special about using an adverb that dates back to the 13th century.)
