Unfortunately one leaf of the flower broke when I tried to bend it a bit...

I am expecting my first macro lens: pentax smc-M 100mm F/4, until that point I have to use my other equipment to take macro photos.

I took this photo with my K10d, my pentax smc-M 50mm F/1.7 @ F11 and a 2x teleconverter. Shutterspeed was 1 second. Under the flower I put a dark pillow to provide a dark background.

Bart, this a wonderfull photo! I agree with Dave that the missing petal (apparently Dave walks over flowers ) makes this one. Very sharp, nice colour. I have the same equipment (it's a Panagor tc, isn't it?), but I never used it together......

Nice flower! The yellow is beautifully bright. A welcome sight in our dreary winter.

(I grew up with Louis Vandermark.... waaaaaaay back when. Then again it's probably a popular name in Holland.)
