Heinrich, you got me there for a sec with the title!

Great shots! I particularly like the odd ones !

1 and 5: Nice saturated colors, 5, 7 beautiful composition, 3: the mist, looks really cold, 5: almost out of this world!

Always beautiful pictures Heinrich. Blind river... Brings back some interesting memories of a trip there for a basketball tournament when I was in high school. It was the middle of winter in practically a snow storm... Now quite the serene image you present here.

Hi Ole and thank you for the kind comments. Titles should be effective?

Take care,

Hi Dave and thank you. The colors were good this year and that does make a difference, unfortunately the best colors that I saw on the whole trip I could not take a picture of. It was on I95 south of Portland Maine. Early morning, fog just lifting and the sun shining almost horizontally through the bright red and golden yellow intermixed with green trees. And nowhere to pull over safely. Oh well....

Take care,

Great shots, I got worried from the title as well, but it really stopped me, guess it was the purpose

Blind River shot and the shores of Lake Superior are my favourites!

What's this, I said to myself as I read the title of the post. Can this be the same Heinrich leaving the Pentax fold? Surprise, you can take Heinrich out of the picture but it seems you can't take Canada out of Heinrich. Hmmm, now what to say... I do like all of them...and the mist is so tempting, but alas I am drawn to the subtleties of the last image. Love the sparse look of snow on the landscape drawing the eye to further coloured treasures, such as the two bushes filled with gold-orange leaves.

Hi Heinrich,
I really want to visit that part of the world one of these days, but your photos are the next best thing. 1,3,4,5 & 7 are my favorites...excellent, to say the least. Thanks for sharing these.
