Houston Auto Show (classic cars) 6 imgs
Posted By: rfortson, 03-06-2009, 09:36 PM

The real fun at the Houston Auto Show was the classic cars. I took tons of shots here with the K20D and the DA*16-50, DA*50-135 and the DA10-17.

Here's a 1946 Ford Woody once owned by Andy Griffith, taken with the 16-50:

1948 Town & Country, another woody, taken with the 16-50:

Detail from the same, taken with the 50-135:

Cadillac with the 50-135:

Smile! Guess the lens:

And another, Lincoln Continental with the "suicide" doors:

I'll post more in another thread (to save your bandwidth).

Awsome shots and along with my DA 12-24 those are the exact lenses I would have brought. Well done. Did you have a monopod ?

Thanks guys!

Dave, I did not use a monopod, though I probably could have. In looking at some of my shots, I can see I still got a little blur on a few. I guess I was getting tired or something, because it wasn't that dark there. I did try to keep the ISO down, though.

Wow! Gotta point this thread out to my Dad.

I too love the fisheye view of the immaculate interior of the Lincoln. Just wonderful!

Very nice series. I like the wide shots as well. Also it is pretty wild the effect that all the lights in the ceiling have one the shots.
