Post Your Street Shots
Posted By: roentarre, 03-07-2009, 05:27 AM

Street photography is fun. It is something unique in the subject of Photography. It is hard to do it well and it is never boring.

Welcome to post your street shots here. Streetscape can be fun ranging from still life objects to people in their own lives. It is something readily accessible for every daring individual.

If this street photography is not your cup of tea, please be respectful to the thread poster.

If you want to force your own personal view onto others, save it for yourself.

This thread is for people who like to participate in street photography. I have learnt a lot from many pentax street shooters who are leaving the forum because this forum is not "street-friendly".

Let's start this forum somewhere. (I know Javier has a great thread on his own. With his consent, a new thread is started in the view to get more participation of street photography)

Regards

James

In the hippy suberb of Melbourne, some colourful artefacts can cost up to 700 US dollars per piece. I have collected quite a few of them

The cultural part of Melbourne in the street. People dance and sing.

A very nice lady who was with her partner walking down the street. She offered me some advices as if I were a tourist lost direction in the town...

Some great shots James. I like the first shot and your last shot best.
I don't really do candid shots and street photography very much so I don't have any to post. I would love to see more from our members.

There was someone yelling at pedestrians from the apartment and she looked

The music really sucked. I gave 5 dollar tip for the effort.

Thanks for the visit! Sure you can do street candids. Everyone can. Why not try it out sometime using your point and shoot first. Once you are getting comfortable at it, it would come very easy

Was it a 5 dollar tip for the effort or 5 dollar tip to play solo (you know where this went)

Outside the church, there is always some interesting light to photograph.

Sometimes there will be some unknown people that are supposedly to be well known popping up in front of your face

Trouble is I don't have a point and shoot unless you call the istDL with the 50-200mm mounted on auto a P&S.

When I used to hang around my friends from university Christian group, we had to donate 100 AUS dollars regularly to the poor even if these people potentially buy drugs... So giving out 5 dollar is not that bad. It is like being part of God's plan or a pre-destination to start with...

Hehe

David, street photography does not need good cameras. It needs to be something that enables a photographer to take images at ease, not missing the moment.

I have seen stunning work coming out of DS body with a sigma 24mm f1.4

Here is my friend's street photography blog
