Yellow Hibiscus Macro

Took this yesterday late aternoon in a friend's yard with K10D and FA 100mm Macro. This is focus stacked from 4 images, each shot at F8.

very nice! Is there some special program or technique you use to do this "focus stacking"? I've only heard of this just recently.

I'm fairly new as far as digital techniques go... can you explain how you do it when you have a chance?

Nice job with the stacking. I too am very interested in your PP technique to get the accumulated DOF. Were you using concentric masks?

Thanks guys. I am playing around with "CombineZ5".
Freeware. I haven't really figured out how to use this thing correctly, although I have it since last year (Too lazy to read manual). Also, the software crashed a few times. I had to resize the images before to 1200 pixels in PSP in order for the Combine to work. It stalled several times when trying to do a full size image and also had a lot of weird black blotches in the image.
Give it a try....

very cool, thanks for the link. I'll have to try it out once I get a set of pictures suitable for stacking.
