Lanscape in sepia
Posted By: artistcjconrad, 03-08-2009, 10:17 AM

Some pictures of Lachine park in Montreal. They didn’t look much until I turned them in to sepia. If the pictures don’t look good in color, try turning them in b&w or sepia before erasing them, you’ll be surprised. Anyway, enjoy the pictures and feel free to leave a comment or two.

I like the first one. Almost an IR feel to it. The last couple are a little dark for me.

Nr. 3 is my favorite. It's quite dramatic, and I like the darkness!

They all appear philosophical and profound in some ways. Nice touch to them all

Indeed they are all incredible, but the first one is definitely a favourite. Sepia is hard to pull off without making it look cheesy. Splendid job.

Nice look. Did you use the "Orton effect" on them? They look like it.

I like the first two. the tones and slight colouring in the skies help add interest to the landscapes. The last three, in particular the last two look very soft as if they have camera shake.

Hi pingflood,
No, I did not use the Orton effect. I usually pp in photoshop but, this time I used the simple and free Faststone Image Viewer. Just turned them in to sepia and adjusted the color a little bit, that's all. I'm glad you folks like them and your comments are very much appreciated. I thank you all for taking the time to post a comment.

cheers
