Wildflower meadow
Posted By: JMR, 03-08-2009, 08:17 PM

This is from a slide and was taken in Nova Scotia, whose beauty knows no bounds, as far as I am concerned. One day I came upon this cluster in a meadow and shot it with a 300 mm @ 5.6, to give that ethereal quality and playful exhuberance. I admit to playing with it bit, but it matters not; it is meant to be pictorial and not realistic.

Like some sort of mirage. Beautiful dreamy look as a signature from you.

The green is so poeticly captured

Just what I thought, like a painting, an impressionist one!

Sweet image JMR. Love it! I agree about the beauty of the province, since I lived there for 9 years.

Where in NS was it taken?

Beautiful. A viewing delight for my eyes...the colour, pattern and Orton effect.

Ah Marc, if only I could remember! I was all over the province for about 10 days a few years ago, particularly Cape Breton. I just remember spotting these wildflowers with my wife and going for a walk. I also spent some time in Fort Louisburg, Chetticamp, Peggy's Cove, Mahoney Bay, Lunenburg and many other places. I may have forgotten some names, but the largely unspoiled beauty and variety of landscapes is forever etched in my mind. And thanks for the comments.

Thanks, and you hit nail on the head. Occasionally I show simple double and multople exposures.

Nova Scotia has everything except deserts and the rockies, but it does have its mountains and the unparrelled highlands of Cape Breton.
