Who says you can't photograph trains
Posted By: Photo Tramp, 03-09-2009, 05:38 AM

Yesterday in Pennsylvania it was free enterence to all state run museums. So I took my son and grand sons to the Strasburg Rail Road museum, which isn't far from the house. It was a great day and the grandsons learned all about trains. If you ever want to take the time to see some really great old trains this is the place.

of course they didn't know they would have to work for the trip.

There is so much more to see at the museum and so many things the kids can do, along with getting into the engine of one of these great machines and learning how to drive one. It was a great way to spend a beautiful almost spring day.

Some great shots of some great old trains there David. Some of them are realtivley noisy not sure if that is a re-size issue or you were using high ISO ? Nice series.

thanks for the comments Daacon. The noise was the product of 1600 ISO. the lighting inside was very poor.

One of these times I'll get the family to Strasburg. My kids love trains so they would have a great time. The pictures are all very nice, despite the large amount of noise in some of them.
