Motion Blur Portrait
Posted By: jmbradd, 03-10-2009, 10:13 PM

My first attempt at a motion blur. Switched camera to AF-C and tried to match speed while walking through a hallway. I really like how it came out even if he's a tad out of focus.

ps. Just realized this would have been a great time to try the "catch in focus" function eh?

It's a good shot but to be truthfull the walls are too white to get a real sense of motion.

Could you, and others, go into a bit more detail how this is done? I always shoot static "things" but I'm starting to wake up the possibilities of objects in motion,
Brian

Edit: I really have to reread the manual again, thanks to this point I searched the information on AF.C, so now I just need a little more on "catch in focus." Previous threads?
Second Edit: sorry, I just realized this is the same as "focus trap" and here's a current thread for those interested https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/16946-trap-focus-setup-k100d.html
