First Pano
Posted By: SCguy, 03-12-2009, 07:22 PM

Here is my first attempt at a panorama. It's pretty small, only three images. Not very good, or exciting, but I now really enjoy shooting panos.

RD, its a good start, maybe crop a little of the bottom to give more of a panoramic feel to it? i know you were wanting maybe to keep the shore line though?

Did you use a polariser filter, the sky seems to change colour a bit much for me. They are fun though aren't they?

gotta start somewhere! fine job for your first try. I will echo what
has been said, the sky seems to change in the middle. Were you on
auto white balance, maybe?

No, I was using custom WB, but I forgot to shoot in manual, and shot in A mode. The exposure changed a little, and I tried to correct it in PP, but couldn't. Thanks for the comments. I might try cropping the bottom off and see how I like it,

Better yet, I might just go shoot a better one!

Looks nice. I like doing panos too, lots of fun. I see you already caught the mistake of not using manual exposure. So easy to do, and hard to fix! My only other comment would be to clone out the dust blobs in the sky.
