Badlands and Caledon revisited
Posted By: JMR, 03-17-2009, 01:01 PM

Went out this morning to the Badlands of Caledon and also toured the countryside. Beautiful sunny day and I hated it! Just kidding. If you can't beat the the hard shadows, find a place for them in your images. Anyway, here are a few, converted and some- well they were processed.

I really like that first one, the shadows look great. Neat composition as well.

I only saw the first two originally, what a great set. I think the last one is my favourite of all of them, I look on it as a whimsical take on the clasic (but clichéd) lone tree in a desert type shot, gorgeous colours.

I like them JMR - the processed and actual shots. Good imagination.

I would like to see it in the coloured execution. That is very interesting!

Thanks again Gary. I just changed-out the second shot of the horse farm and decided I might as well keep within the theme of the Badlands.

Just think Dave, if I had your wide angle lens I could shoot my feet and shadow. Thanks.

Well, I just added one more colour image, but they really are the same, except I converted some to BW or Sepiatones. Thanks.

Thanks. It goes to show, although I prejudged the light as "bad" because it was too sunny, it's what you "see" that counts.
