Dusk at Bell Rock
Posted By: ThorThum, 03-17-2009, 01:47 PM

Sedona, Az

I went on a photographic mission over the weekend. I fired up the restored 76 VW Type II Transporter Westfalia Campmobile, and headed to Sedona. I tried to capture the sunset just after a small storm, and was hoping to get some stars as well. The weather offered some positive results (IMO). Thanks for looking.

I like it; dusk shots - especially of a subject like this one - have a truly haunting look.

Very nice, spectacular, in fact. Maybe it's the resizing but your rocks look soft. Perhaps a little sharpening is order. Oddly enough the sky looks fine. Careful not to destroy the soft quality of the sky colours when sharpening- if you bother.

Wonderful shot. A lot of elements captured in one shot. I do like the colors in the sky.

Thanks guys. My k200d has really inspired me to take advantage of my beautiful surroundings. I can't really take credit for the views, but will accept the c&c with much gratitude. This was taken with the A-SMC 50mm 30sec exposure f1.7.

Great shot Wade - as I mentioned before my wife recently went to Sedona and marvelled at all the beautiful scenery. She said I would love it there and from you have shown so far (and some of her pics) I would have to agree.
