Tele bokeh
Posted By: 8540tomg, 03-17-2009, 02:30 PM

Just messing around with the 400mm today and was pleasantly surprised at the way it rendered the background in this image.

It is a nothing image really but for some reason I like it. Comments welcome.

Yes, it is nice, but a bit soft. Perhaps camera shake. If you shoot at or near wide open on any lens 100mm or longer, and you focus at minimum distance, you will always get a beautiful bokeh. Moreover, if you use a tripod and a double exposure, of one shot in focus and the second out of focus, using the technique just mentioned, you will also produce a beautiful effect. Try it.
