Abandoned House.
Posted By: Modus Operandi, 03-17-2009, 07:05 PM

I found this little house while driving along a rather, empty road.

So that same night a friend and I decided to go visit, I came back the next morning. :P

I didnt touch or shift anything around.

Also didnt spend too much time in there either (Was in a hurry to get somewhere), so all the shots were hastely thrown together.

All shot with the stock 18-55mm @ 18mm.

Enjoy!

Thank you!

I wonder how a real estate agent would describe it.

I like #7 (hide-a-bed) the best and the paint looks a-ppealing on some of the other shots

I particularly like number 9 with the flaking wall.

I always get a sort of rush from visiting houses like that, probably read to many scary stories at too young an age :-|

The ultimate "fixer-upper". I usually only get to see exteriors - not these cool interior shots.

I don;t balme you for being in a hurry - that house looks a little unstable. Nice series of decay.

I liked the flaking wall best. Did not look like a very safe place to be. A look at the outside would be interesting.

I like abandoned buildings.
This one looks like it will be demolished soon...

If you like Urban Exploration, here's a great site to check out. I like to go see what is abandoned in my area and look at the pictures. Pretty neat places.

Funny thing is that my old job was city inspector, and I often visited abandonned buildings (mostly houses) to condemn them. I took a lot of pics for the files, but never kept any for myself. I am so kicking myself now!

Just a word of warning, when going into abandonned houses announce yourself. Some have squatters living in them and they generally don't like being surprised.

Tres cool!

Can you post an outside shot to give the rooms and the style some overall flavour?
