Ash, Is it a joke? Was not I in Africa, but me it does seem to that it is the Indian decorative pattern? Although I was not in the USA and Canada also, but however in Africa of pine-tree does not grow. I liked in childhood to read the books of Fenimora of Kupera on the adventures of American Indians Or do I wrong?

Thanks all for the comments.
The ornament is from Kenya - behind the feather on the ornament is a Masai figure (you know, tall, lanky, dark skinned, walk around with long sticks, herders in the savannah overlooking the Rift Valley mountainside). I do admit that a lot of ornaments I've seen from around the world can look similar in some ways...
