Taken with the K20D and the Bigma, significantly processed (contrast, saturation, dust spots, etc) in Lightroom 2.

Very nice, I like it.

Russ, is Lightroom 2 meeting your expectations? I think I'll be getting it soon. I have been running lightroom 1 for the last year or so. 2 is getting rave reviews but I haven't talked to anyone personally that is running it.

Your insight would be appreciated.

John

Thanks for the kind comments, gang!

John, Lightroom 2 is very nice. I loaded the beta of LR 1 and used it briefly but never really committed to it. I finally decided to get serious about processing my images so I bought LR2 (education discount, but I'm thinking of paying to upgrade it so I can ethically/legally sell images from it) and I bought a Scott Kelby book. Then I dove in. With his book, I've really gotten into a groove where I can work through a bunch of images fairly quickly. I still haven't gotten really deep into it yet, but I'm learning something new everyday.

Bottom line, I'm really glad I made the switch. If you're using LR1, then LR2 is supposed to be much better, though I can't tell you why. I just know that I like LR2.

Thanks Russ, I went ahead and upgraded last night. I think you made a good choice by buying Kelbys book, I have read a couple of his books and found them very helpful. I think I will follow your lead.

I've been using LR1 for over a year, it was pretty straight forward. lr2 takes it up a notch, I think a book and or some video's will help unlock it's full potential much quicker and shorten the learning curve.

Thanks for your input.
