why thank you.

I can hardly wait until my macro lens actually arrives.
I was using my old manual Sigma 75 - 300, which doesn't have the macro setting like the new ones

Hah, my entry is titled "Is it spring yet?" We had the usual Easter snow storm here...

I like your shot, you caught that delicate new-leaf green very nicely.

I don't know about perfect, but thanks! I'm amazed that it came out anything near sharp, the only reason it's usable is SR. I was shooting straight down (obviously!) half-squatting with my elbows braced on my knees in failing light. That's 1/20s with a 90mm lens! And to think I pooh-poohed SR.

I was also shooting snow on some seed heads from last year, and got one that was absolutely sharp. It was otherwise a boring shot, but the attached crop impressed me. This was 1/45s, but I was in a slightly less stable position.
