Yesterday I headed up to Portland, Maine for the Maine Boatbuilder's show
with a couple of my buddies. The difference between a boat show and
a boatbuilder's show is that the former has lots of complete boats and
salesmen, and the latter has complete boats, partial boats, boat parts, and people who build boats. Here's some of the pictures I took. Only lens I
ended up using was my Vivitar 28mm/f2.8, typically at f4, 1/30, ISO400,
although I went as long as 1/8 (thank you SR) in some of the dimmer spots.

the show was held in the buildings of Portland Yacht services - this shot
of the small boat area gives an idea of what that's like:
these skiffs caught my eye:
details:
it was fairly crowded with people and boats, really wish I had the Pentax
12-24, it was hard to getting a whole boat in the shot:
used tool dealer, just imagine LBA except for woodworkers, this stuff was
all ready to use, too!
if you like this sort of stuff the whole gallery is at
Maine Boatbuilder's Show
thanks for looking!
