Mystic forest and pond
Posted By: JMR, 03-21-2009, 07:07 PM

I am feeling rather Black and white lately, not able to get out enough to shoot the morning light. So this is the result. Of course these are minimalist impressions.

Yes, minimalism very much graphic arts. First photo - masterpiece. It is a mood, it is mysticism executed by a feather. Super!

I must say, JMR, both of these are very striking images. I've never really been an abstract fan but you have shaken my brain a little on that first one. Very original and very powerful.

#2 is, hands down, sheer perfection. Thank you for this lesson.

Excellent PP , I do like the first one - one has to look for a couple of seconds. That second one is simply stunning.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments. Since some people have asked about the first image, I will explain how it was taken. It is a simple vertical pan at about 1 second. The problem is there is a lag between pressing the shutter and the pan. So you have to wait about 1/3 sec to start panning. Also, if you pan too fast you get streaks of white or colour, which you may or may not want; and if you pan too slow, you get images that simply look blurry and out of focus. So practice and experiment a little. It's only pixels.

Both are wonderfully mystical - I almost expected Excaliber to appear from the depths.
