Despite knowing that shooting wide/near-wide open can lead to failed shots more often than not, I'm drawn to the challenge of shooting this lens outside of controlled conditions.

These were shot today under hazy afternoon lighting so missing some of that golden, afternoon sunlight. I know I should stop down to get more of the subjects in focus, but it's rewarding getting those shots wide-open with the way that backgrounds are rendered with this lens.

Thanks; she's a very accommodating model and easy to work with although she can be temperamental at times!

One thing is for sure; working with a fixed telephoto focal length certainly requires a fair amount of moving around to keep the subject in the picture frame compared to using a wider angle lens!
