Hello Sophie!
Posted By: Dale, 03-22-2009, 02:30 AM

There is never a better time to learn how to use a flash on wireless setting, than after two days awake, and with a bit of worry and joy mixed in. That and ten espressos to help keep my eyelids from crashing.

The results were so bad I resorted to natural light, no flash(es) tripod and two second delay!

Meet the new addition to the family:

Congratulations! Beautiful picture. Maybe a little bit more contrast will make it better.

Thanks all, been a bit busy to respond! I've played around with curves and improved the shot somewhat.

Congrats Dale ... I have 3 more weeks to go ... then I'll be in the same boat you are in now.
I have been getting good practice in with my twin nieces (as they live pretty much with us on our property) ... that's getting photos of them ... and changing nappies as well.

I found a nice fast little prime ... and available light is much better to shoot babies with ... especially if it is in a hospital.

Here's a few from when my newphew was born about 5 months ago

Good shots there mate. Day old babies tend not have perfect complexions. I've tried hard to get a sharpish image without highlighting a blemish or two. That Tak of yours does a nice job.
