4 Images with Mist - which do you like?
Posted By: philbaum, 03-22-2009, 03:39 PM

I think we all get close to our own images, otherwise, why would we spend time developing them :-) I'm interested in which 1 or 2 seem attractive to you, if any, or are there any that just don't seem interesting to you. Either way you want to phrase it. They are only photos after all, so don't worry about offending me.

1. Morning in the Mist

2. Winter Mist

3. Snow, falling on Pier

4. Road Less Traveled

My wife really likes this last one, so i paid Costco $5 to put it on a cup for her and gave it to her. Yes, there really was a point of light. On the other hand, my wife thinks the snow on pier image "boring". We had a sudden late snow, which blocked out the opposite shore and left these areas of partially covered floats. I actually like it. Theres no accounting for taste in images, i guess :-)

Any comments appreciated, Phil

Phil,

I like #1 and #2. The lone figure in #1 with the misty background conveys a strong mood to me.

I'll agree with your wife (a safe move for any husband) that number 4 is the best. It really sets a mood. A great series overall

I like #2 very much, but might suggest a bit more detail in the foreground? On my screen the shore and forward rock are coming out pretty much as a dark mass,
