It is Back! Sweet Openings
Posted By: metroeloise, 03-23-2009, 07:29 PM

My K20D is Back and much better for the secret spa treatment. Still front focuses a tad with the Tammy 28-75mm. (Lens is fine on the k100d) I haven't run the focus chart tests yet. Soon.

The VF is much brighter now. AF works better although it front focuses a tad. It meters correctly across the board which is welcomed with the onboard flash. Haven't tried the 360 on it yet.

These are a batch showing off my Seikanon 28-80mm f/3.5-4.5. MF but it worked! Used a 250 micro converter with it. The non macro are shot with the Tammy. I picked a pestle and AF hit it and really did focus on it. Wow!

Amazingly lovely series. Especially like no.4 and the last 2. The secret spa treatment must be really refreshing.

Shucks! They are! Something very satisfying about the shoot and the feeling I had in Looking for the shots. Thank you.

Thank you. I am learning more about how to get around Lr. Reading up on Ps and will take the plunge soon. Everything I did to these so far is basic in Lr.

No, no! Please. I Thinkin it is a grace we get from the internet... We get to learn. My k20d came with a faulty AF, and other inner workings. Metering, dark screen, exposure, and the give away: extreme front focusing. Asked, Learned, Adapted... Eventually I knew it wasn't user error and time to send in. Then I happened on the refurbished k100d deal. Wow what a difference! "Little Brother" shined and kick some dust up into k20d's sensor. Did side by side three lens rotations, embarrassing.

But this one's back! I call it a secret spa (felt like I was sending off to Oz) because on the return, Pentax never confirmed arrival, there was a receipt an no description of what was wrong... Understandably. Turn around time about 2 weeks.

And it is amazing. Shines over the k100d. That one is destined to become IR.

I will post some cool show off pictures soon. (Work gets in the way )

Thank you! Me Too! (They are all my favorites really... ) Thinking to try both taking away the green in the background and bring it up some too. Will see. Excited to be learning Ps!

Thank you all.

Really well done, I think these are possibly the best images you have posted to date (taking into account of course the fact that all observations are subjective).

WoW! Thank You Garry. I think so too. Something about looking for the shot. Having the camera be OK now I can relax. Now just some time. Planed an outing every morning after work this week and the flat out dismal flat gray rain drove me to bed... I need some fog or some sunshine. (Live in the NW)

Next (or very soon) I will get a sypder and calibrate! Also my lesson plan for Ps Mastery () is to start layers and masks the weekend after this one. I like these so much I am sure I will try thing on them!

Thanks Everyone !
